Shaking Things Up—At Least A Little Bit
Our Nexxpert celebrity stylist Roy Teeluck reveals how small changes can make a big difference
New year new look, right? It always seems like a great idea to me. In fact, I like to do something different with my hair on a regular basis and no more so than after the New Year. But to so many of women the word "change" can actually cause slight panic attacks. The reason? Many of them associate it with a dramatically different hair color, or having to chop off more than an inch or two. By the way, I am not opposed to either one of these options but in the interest of helping us all to "freshen" up our looks, I've come up with some less "scary" alternatives. So here goes:

Opposites are attractive: If you usually wear you hair straight try going curly or vice versa. You'd be amazed at the difference in the way it makes you look, feel, and how other people perceive you. The feedback will inevitably be positive. |

Have a parting of the ways: Middle parts are statement making. Side parts are softer and more feminine. If you've always worn one switch to the other. Or try alternating each time you shampoo. This way you'll keep people constantly guessing, which will give you an aura of mystique and glamour. |

Embrace ups and downs: Why not become one who does both? It's another "keep them guessing" tactic and will help you avoid any kind of boredom with your style.

Go Out With A Big Bang: There's nothing like a beautifully cut set of fringe to enhance your eyes and cheekbones. Long heavy blunt, super straight ones give an aura of sophisticated rock 'n roll chic. Lighter, layered ones are softer and more romantic. |

Gloss things over: Try using a clear, neutral gloss over your natural or processed hair hue. It seals in the color and imparts tremendous shine. |
